Badge Description

Capacity building is all about improving the lives and skills of our coworkers, our friends, and our counterparts. Sometimes this involves assisting them with projects, improving technical skills, teaching English, or staying up until the late hours of the night in your counterpart's home talking and working together. Capacity building is change that will last and is arguably one of the most important things you will ever do as a Peace Corps Volunteer. If your counterparts smile when you come in the room, if they hug you regularly in a country where hugging isn't too popular, and if their lives are better because of you, you've earned the Capacity Building badge.
