Badge Description
In case anyone ever wonders where you served in the Peace Corps, where you earned all these incredible badges, where you spent 27 (or more) months of your life - this way they will know. It was Mongolia. Say it with pride. Say it in Mongolian. Tell them about living in a ger, fetching water, writing grants, surviving winter and everything else, but more importantly tell them about the people, your friends, your colleagues and who you are now because of living in this incredible country. Sain bain Amerik, sain bain. Each Mongolia badge is hand-sewn by our friend Tseesuren from home-pressed traditional Mongolian felt, the same kind that has lined the inside of gers in Mongolia to keep them warm for generations. |
Order Your Badge
When you order a merit badge, all of the proceeds go to the small village community where the badges are made and each dollar makes a big difference. Thank you! Each merit badge, which takes over an hour to make, is hand-sewn by our friend Tseesuren and a small group of Mongolian women. Each badge is home-pressed traditional Mongolian felt, the same kind that has lined the inside of gers in Mongolia to keep them warm for generations. |
